Yes. The Performance Roof Box mounts to a Porsche base roof transport system, which is model-specific and must be ordered separately. The correct base carrier SKU for each Porsche is listed on the product page, and the roof box itself cannot be fitted without it.

The box has a capacity of 480 litres and a maximum payload of 75 kg. In practical terms, that is enough for two sets of ski or snowboard equipment, several large suitcases, or a full complement of family holiday luggage. Always check that your vehicle's total maximum roof load rating (base carrier plus roof box plus contents) is not exceeded.

The Porsche Performance Roof Box has been wind-tunnel tested at speeds of up to 200 km/h (approximately 124 mph) on the Taycan, Cayenne, Macan, and Panamera. On the 911 (992, 992 II), Porsche recommends a maximum speed of 130 km/h with the roof box fitted. Always observe local speed limits.

Yes. Any roof-mounted accessory increases aerodynamic drag and reduces achievable range on electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The Porsche Performance Roof Box has been developed at the Weissach Development Centre and wind-tunnel optimised to minimise this impact, but a reduction in range is unavoidable. Note that the vehicle's route planner does not take the roof box into account when calculating range, so factor this in manually on longer journeys and consider removing the box when it is not needed.

Yes. The Performance Roof Box features dual-side opening, so you can load and unload from either side of your Porsche. Yes. The side blades of the roof box are finished in Black (high-gloss) as standard and are fully replaceable. The silver PORSCHE logo on the rear panel remains as standard.
