Description
In a whole host of ways, your PCCM combines the analogue past with the digital future – in other words, timeless driving pleasure with state-of-the-art technology. Even if you like to travel in classic style and sometimes blissfully lose track of time, it is surely important to you to have an easy, comfortable journey that avoids any traffic jams. The new Porsche Classic Communication Management will help you achieve this.
With its unique, original Porsche look complete with Porsche lettering, the PCCM blends seamlessly into the vehicle interior. In addition to touchscreen operation via a 3.5-inch display, modern functions such as DAB+ (Europe) and Apple CarPlay have now become part of the PCCM. Like its predecessor, the PCCM also features additional on-board navigation with Porsche-specific points of interest (POI). Route guidance is available in 2D, 3D and as a basic arrow view. The associated map data is provided via a SD card, which need to be purchased seperately.
Media can be played back via SD card, USB, AUX and Bluetooth®. In addition to the features already mentioned, Apple CarPlay can also be used for media playback, navigation and telephone calls.

What classic Porsche models is the PCCM (Europe) compatible with?
The PCCM (Europe) fits classic Porsche models equipped with the standard single-DIN (50 mm) infotainment slot, which covers a wide range of classic 911, Boxster, 928, 944, 968, and first-generation Cayenne models. Exact compatibility depends on your specific model year, market, and existing audio configuration, so use the "Check compatibility" tool on the product page or contact your Porsche Partner to confirm before ordering.
Does the PCCM support Android Auto?
No. The PCCM (Europe) supports Apple CarPlay only. Android users can still stream audio and make hands-free calls via Bluetooth, but the full phone-mirroring experience that Android Auto offers is not available.
Why is the PCCM (Europe) only sold for use in Europe?
The PCCM (Europe) includes a DAB+ tuner configured for European digital radio broadcasts. DAB+ is not used in North America, where the equivalent broadcast standard is HD Radio. Porsche Classic offers a separate US-market variant of the PCCM with the correct tuner for North American digital radio, which owners outside Europe should order instead.
Does the PCCM come with a navigation SD card?
No. The PCCM's on-board navigation feature requires a separate map data SD card, which is sold separately by your Porsche Partner. Once fitted, the SD card provides map data for 2D, 3D, and arrow-view route guidance across the covered region, along with Porsche-specific points of interest.
Can I install the PCCM myself?
Porsche Classic strongly recommends professional installation by a Porsche Partner. Classic Porsches use vehicle-specific wiring looms, and a qualified Porsche technician will source the correct harness adapter, DAB+ aerial adapter, and speaker configuration for your model, fit the unit without disturbing the original wiring, and confirm every feature is functional before you drive away. Self-installation risks damaging the unit or other vehicle electronics.
What features does Apple CarPlay add to the PCCM?
Apple CarPlay mirrors compatible apps from your iPhone onto the 3.5-inch PCCM display, allowing you to use Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze for navigation, control music and podcast apps such as Apple Music, Spotify, and Overcast, send and receive iMessages hands-free, make and receive calls, and interact with Siri. Connect your iPhone to the PCCM by USB cable to activate CarPlay.
Can I make hands-free calls with the PCCM?
Yes. Connect your iPhone via USB and use Apple CarPlay to place hands-free calls directly through the PCCM. Android users can pair their phone via Bluetooth to make and receive calls, although the full CarPlay experience is Apple-exclusive.
Will the PCCM look out of place in the interior of my classic Porsche?
The PCCM is developed by Porsche Classic specifically to preserve the original character of classic Porsche interiors. The fascia carries Porsche lettering in a period-correct finish, and the 3.5-inch display is sized to match the visual proportions of the original radio rather than dominating the dashboard. It fits within the existing single-DIN aperture, so no dashboard cutting or modification is required.
What audio sources can I play through the PCCM?
The PCCM plays audio from a built-in SD card slot, a USB port, a 3.5 mm AUX input, and Bluetooth wireless streaming, alongside DAB+ digital radio and traditional FM broadcasts. Apple CarPlay adds any iPhone-based audio source, including Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and podcast apps.
Does replacing the original radio with the PCCM affect the classic status or value of my Porsche?
Because the PCCM is engineered by Porsche Classic and is a genuine Porsche part rather than an aftermarket accessory, it is generally viewed favourably by the classic Porsche community. Professional installation by a Porsche Partner preserves the original wiring loom and, in many cases, the original head unit can be retained and stored so that it can be refitted if you wish to return the car to fully original specification. Consult your Porsche Partner or a marque specialist if originality is a specific concern for your restoration.
