Porsche Design watches: Precision and design heritage on your wrist
Porsche Design watches are more than accessories. They are the result of a radical design philosophy founded by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in 1972. With the aim of transferring the readability of a 911 cockpit to the wrist, he created the Chronograph I – the world's first completely black wristwatch. Today, Porsche Design Timepieces AG in Grenchen, Switzerland, manufactures precision mechanical instruments that embody Porsche DNA, both technically and aesthetically.
The icon: Chronograph 1 and manufacturing expertise
The focus is on the Chronograph 1. This watch is not a fashion statement, but technical heritage. In the Porsche workshop in Grenchen, the "Porsche Way" of watchmaking is embraced to the full. This means uncompromising selection of materials, such as titanium – a material that Porsche Design pioneered in the world of watchmaking back in 1980 – and highly precise in-house calibers with COSC certification.
Buying a watch in this price segment means investing in lasting value and engineering. Every detail, from the matte casing to avoid reflections to the optimized energy management of the automatic winding mechanism, follows the function.
